Some "health clubs" sell many contracts to clients, knowing full well that they will probably quit in the near future. They can make a lot of money that way; you pay and don't workout which means you don't take up any floor space or use any equipment, thus someone else can use what you are paying for.
Wow! What a great deal, for the club owner (if he can sleep at night).
However, as the owner of CrossFit Gulf Coast, I am committed to making our training center a place where truly dedicated, motivated people can achieve their goals through extremely hard, consistent work. I know that there are no short-cuts to excellence.
I am advising everyone who is paying for training to get the most out of it.
I actually have heard people brag about how many "health clubs" they are members of and that they never workout there (like it's something to be proud of).
Maybe it's because they "think" they are too busy or life is too stressful or
fill in the blanks __________________________ or _____________________ .....
Being too busy means you don't manage the events in your life well, it doesn't mean you are more over-loaded with commitments than others, though you might think you are.
For those who have memberships at other gyms, get in there and use them!
If you are a member of ours, you have no acceptable excuse (short of death or a life-threatening illness) why you are not giving your training the priority it deserves, After all, it's only your health.
If you have kids, they are not an excuse to not train, they are a reason to train!
They deserve to have healthy parents that will live long enough to see them grow up.
So, make the best use of your hard-earned money you are paying, and get to work on improving your health and fitness; otherwise you might just want to use it to buy another TV or refrigerator so you never have to exert yourself, and you can become a pile of mush.
Is this a tough message? You bet!
Can you handle the truth?
