Aaaahh! This is the life! Kick back at the beach, bring a cooler with your favorite snacks & drinks, catch some rays, swim a little, snooze a lot, and let the cares of the world just drift away. Sounds great, doesn't it?
It does to me too, except for one thing.
If you do that daily for rest of the summer you'll look more like a manatee than an athlete :)
No one can afford to miss a lot of training, no matter how nice is it at the beach.
The surfers get somewhat of a break here (they actually do something for exercise while they are at the beach).
So if you think you "deserve a break"; perhaps you do, if you have attained your fitness goals up to that point.
Don't fool yourself though, SSS (summer slacker syndrome) is prevalent in Florida; be careful you don't get it.
